1891. Constructivist design of a sailor, for a children's book. Pouchoir over pen and pencil made by Vladimir Vasilevich Lebedev (ВлаРР́мРр ВасР́льеРРч Ле́беРеР) (1891-1967). He was partly responsible for the creation of a new style of children's books. He saw the books as integral organisms in which all elements structurally come together. Soviet children's books of the 1920s and 1930s by Detgiz, were not created by publishers, but by artists with diverse talents. Lebedev paid particular attention to a strong graphic expression as a basis and tried to translate his own childhood curiosity into constructivist principles. Price: Euro 750,- (incl. frame)
