With a general title-page and separate titles to each part. Modern cloth, the plates offset to text and with marginal foxing, the text with the odd brown spot in the margins, the lower corner of one leaf creased, overall very clean with wide margins and a silk bookmark, EX-LIBRIS RICHARD FREEMAN, bibliographer of Charles Darwin with a brief note from him on the front free end-paper. *Of the ten plates in part I, five were engraved by William Blake [the Fuseli 'Fertilization of Egypt' signed and the four plates of the Portland Vase unsigned]. The second part was actually published first in 1789, and a second edition one year later. This is the first issue of parts I and II together. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
