Publisher's original blue paper covered boards, with titles in gilt and illustrations in several colours to the upper board, burgundy cloth spine with titles in gilt. Housed in the original card slipcase. With a frontispiece and 13 silkscreen prints and letterpress on various colours of Scholosser wove paper. Tissue guards, as called for. With an essay by the author on his own work under the pseudonym of Adam Gates. With a work of prose by John Storck. A beautifully produced and highly decorative volume reflecting Steve Wheeler's unique blending of Cubist, Surrealist, and Native American motifs, combined with his original sometimes cryptic typography. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents clean and bright throughout. Complete with the worn original slipcase. Inscribed by the artist in blue ink to the front blank "To Gina, Keith & Justin / with Best Wishes / and Love - / Steve Wheeler [underlined] / June 1988". This volume is limited to 513 copies of which this is hand-numbered 385. The Slovakian born American artist was most closely associated with the Indian Space Painters.
