Mosley, Oswald
Tomorrow We Live (with postwar anti-fascist handbill)
[London]: Abbey Supplies Ltd, 1938. Deluxe Edition. Very Good. Deluxe limited edition, signed by Mosley on frontispiece portrait. Title page numbered "125" of an unspecified limitation. Black leatherette lettered in gilt with British Union of Fascists flash and circle logo, all edges gilt, pink marbled endpapers. 72 pp. Very Good, rubbed with slightly exposed boards at tips and along spine. Laid in is a slip from Greater Britain Publications apologizing for the delay in shipping this edition. Also laid in is an unrecorded postwar flier inviting Stoke Newington residents to a towns meeting with the mayor to protest fascism and the BUF. In Near Fine condition. A rare signed copy of the British politician-turned-fascist leader's manifesto, published before his internment. After his release in 1943 he spent the rest of his years as something of an eminence grise in British politics despite his exile and public disgrace. The laid-in handbill is an intriguing rejoinder to the book, illuminating the conflicting currents of midcentury British politics.
