Folio [8], 936, [48], [20]; [8], [72] pages. Woodcut device on title. Modern calf-backed boards, gilt lettered spine-label; title-page somewhat soiled and lower quarter reinforced on verso. Printed by Morell. "Édition encore plus recherchée que la précédente " - Brunet I, page 1679; "The text is chiefly Dousa's” Dibdin II, page 376. This is a pretty thorough texts-with-commentary. Esssays on the main authors and a thorough index complete the book. The nineteen commentators and explicators are a very distinguished group which includes both Scaligers, both Dousas, Lipsius, and Henri Stephanus. This is a very substantial folio and some extra shipping costs will be requested, especially if the book goes overseas. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
