William Heinemann/Doubleday, Page & Co, London, New York, 1908. First Trade Edition, First Impression. A very good copy in cream cloth covers with gilt lettering to the spine and gilt lettering and design to upper board. Decorative title page with captioned tissue guarded frontispiece, 39 captioned tissue guarded colour plates illustrated by Arthur Rackham mounted on card, black & white full page illustrations and small ones within the text. Clean and bright boards with browning to top edge of upper board and spine, light marks to the spine and slight bumping to corners, otherwise a firm and smart looking copy. Internally also in very good condition with foxing and offsetting to endpapers and mild to moderate foxing to pages throughout the book including tissue guards. A couple of tissue guards with small tears, however all colour plates in fine condition, clean and bright. Browning to outer edges as seen in photos. Original dust jacket, present but in fair condition - now in two pieces, with browning and marks to panels and spine & creasing and chipping to the edges, please see photos for better description of condition. 134pp. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover; In Dust Jacket]
