Volume condition: very good plus to near fine; boards and spine bright and clean, except for several small water spots on front cover; interior pages are bright, clean, fresh; solid spine interior and out; pencil markings here and there in margins. Porter Fuel Company listed - one of the early mining companies that helped form and develop Durango. Gustavus H. Stoiber listed in Silverton with residence at 767 Reese Street. Stoiber owned a sampling works, the Bank of Silverton, and the Iowa Gold Mining and Milling Company in the Silver Lake region above Silverton. Excellent and scarce research resource for southwestern Colorado. Not listed in Wynar. In fact, there are no listings for this directory; none in the Denver Public Library, Center for Southwestern Studies (Ft. Lewis College); none in OCLC. Exceedingly scarce.
