Lxv + 286pp; xxxi + 347pp; xxxiv + 358pp; xxi + 353pp; xx + 383pp. Original yellow cloth boards, faded and lightly marked. Spines more sunned. Red leather spine labels with gilt lettering. Bindings firm and sound. No dust-jackets. Top edges gilded. Clean, unmarked and uncreased pages. Small closed tear to frontispiece tissue guard of vol 2. Otherwise in very good overall condition. The title page of each volume bears a 2cm circular library stamp of Trinity College, with the year 1930 written in ink in the centre. There are no other markings. Definitive historical survey of the subject, with numerous illustrations, by Sir Guy Francis Laking, Baronet, art historian and First Keeper of the King's Armoury.
