Volume 1 has 508 pages, Volume 2 has 373 pages plus 146 page appendix and index. Front of vol. 2 has a fold out map of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland that measures 13" x 16" . DUST JACKET: No jackets as issued BOOK CONDITION: Vol I has some chipping to title and volume blocks. Both vol have rubbing to edges and the front hinges are loose but covers are still secure. Binding is tight on both and the books are clean. Page edges are clear but text areas show even mild foxing that does not affect the text. There are bookplates inside the front covers of both volumes. Short rip at bottom crease in map without loss of paper. DESCRIPTION: History from original settlement under Wm. Penn in 1681 until after the year 1742 with respect to life of Wm. Penn and religious society of the Quakers to which is added a brief description of the Province and of the general state in which it flourished between years 1760 to 1770.
