WELTY, Eudora
One Time, One Place
New York: Random House, 1971. Quarto, 111pp., illustrated. A crisp, clean copy, near fine, in a very good dust jacket, a bit sunned on the spine, and with some minor discoloration at the base. An exceptional copy, SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Welty to Agnes Sims on the front free endpaper in the year of publication: "For Agnes, with love, From Eudora. December 1971." Agnes Sims, a painter, was the longtime partner of Mary Louise Aswell, the fiction editor at Harper's Bazaar. A warm inscription on one of Welty's most interesting books-a photography volume with snapshots that she had taken as a young woman working for the WPA in rural Mississippi. Near fine in very good jacket. [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy; Hard Cover; In Dust Jacket]
Bookseller: Cleveland Book Company, IOBA [Lakewood, OH, U.S.A.]
