Various, including Spokane, Washington and Phoenix, Arizona, 1963-1972. About 320 photographs spread across 3 different circa-1970's adhesive page, spiral bound albums. Most prints Kodacolor snapshots, about 3 1/2" square (with a few black and white snapshots, some contact prints, and medium enlargements peppered about). A few mounted clippings. Some occasional ink notations to album pages. Each album with an ink adhesive label over spine: "63 / 1964 / 65 / BOAT & / SKI RACING" ; "1970-71 / BOAT & / SKI RACING." ; "1971-72 / WATER SKI / HIGH PIONT / DINNER / AWARD / OUR HOME / IN PHOENIX." Prints firmly adhered to pages, a few with some scuffing, possibly from removal in another mounting and rehomed here. Apart from inherent issues with the adhesive construction, overall contents clean. About very good. 3 albums of vernacular photography capturing the competitive water skiing activities of a Spokane, Washington and later Phoenix, Arizona based family from about 1963 to 1972. The earliest of the trio identifies a Brown family in two mounted clippings, a father Robert and son Dirk and the subjects within appear to stay consistent throughout the albums, providing a seemingly sound identification for an otherwise anonymous group. Multiple performance ski boats are pictured, with the reoccuring yellow and black painted "Banshee" models appearing to be the family's signature.
