Comprises two parts: Introduction text pp. (xvi) printed on beige laid paper titled: "Story of Mabel and her wedding trousseau" with lovely colour Art Deco illustrations + the trade catalogue pp. (22) printed on glossy paper listing the different items (hand-embroidered sets, lingerie, linens, towels, handkerchiefs, corsets, table cloths, etc.) with many b/w illustrations. All the illustrations are made by Eric de Coulon (1888-1956), renowned Swiss poster artist and graphic designer. As issued in original decorated paper boards, printed in black and gold, floral endpapers, also including preliminary and colophon leaves.A beautifully designed trade catalogue advertising the White House's collection of linens and lingerie. The White House was established in 1906 at Bond Street in London and for over a century the company has been supplying the finest linens, porcelain, silver and crystal, exclusive interior accessories, etc. Rare.
