(Suivi de:) Supplement tire du nouveau breviaire imprime en 1770. 2 works bound in 1, FIRST EDITION 1749 of ANTIPHONAIRE, small 8vo bound in sixes and twelves, approximately 165 x 90 mm, 6½ x 3¾ inches, musical notation throughout, title page with publisher's device, some small headpieces and other printer's ornaments, pages: (2), 1-327, (1), 1-36, 1-84, 1-212, XIX; 1-24, 1-123, [9] - last page with Cession du Privilege, collation: pi1, A-C6, D-L12, M-T6, V2, A4, B-C6, D2, a-b4, c-g6, h2, a4, b-s6, *6, **4; ***12, A-L6. Bound in the original speckled calf, raised bands, gilt decoration in compartments, label missing, all edges red, marbled endpapers. Binding stained and slightly rubbed, especially on spine, 10 mm (½") split to top of upper hinge, corners slightly bumped, some light staining to endpapers, small chip to margin of A3 and B4, no loss of print, small closed tear neatly repaired on D8 and L10 and upper corner of b4, small corner missing on I9, I10, L11 and L12, R6 and n5 (2nd series), no loss of print, e5 (2nd series) torn across and neatly repaired with no loss of legibility, a few tiny holes to text but all text and music easily readable, some marginal worming occasionally just touching printed area, some neatly repaired. A good clean tight copy. No first or early copy listed in Copac, one only in the Bibliotheque Nationale (the library of Caen (1749).
