Each of the additional 20 plates from the 1628 edition are tipped in next to this edition's appropriate plates. 1628 tp is pasted to the 1590 tp verso. The 1590 plates faced its text pages. But now the 1628 plates are placed in between plate and text. In the attached pictures left is from 1590, right from 1628. Go to ABE for these pictures. The 1628 title is identical through "Torquato Tasso" after which it reads "....con la Vita a ciascun Canto DI BARTOLOMEO BARBATO CON LE Anntatione de Scipio Gentili, e di Giulio Guastauino, et con le Notitie historiche DI LORENZO PIGNORIA". Very bottom of 1628 tp: "In Padoua Per Tietro Paulo Tozzi 1628". A hand written, in old Italian, note at bottom of last page contains the date 1660. So the additional engravings from the 1628 edition likely were added in 1660. Some other contemporary hand written material. .
