Quarto (202 × 145 mm), in 2 parts. Seventeenth-century tan morocco, flat spine ruled across in gilt, with intertwined CCs in spine compartments and corners of sides, sides ruled in gilt with a French fillet enclosing the gilt arms of Charles de Valois (1573-1650), duke of Angoulême and illegitimate son of Charles IX of France and Marie Touchet, gilt edges. With 7 full-page woodcut illustrations. Spine slightly darkened, joints a little rubbed, one or two very minor light stains internally, but an excellent copy. This edition prints the commentary of Francesco Filelfo to the Sonetti and Canzoni and that of Bernardo Lapini, called Ilicini, to the Trionfi. It also prints a preface to the Trionfi by Marsilio Umbro, and the life of Petrarch attributed to Antonio da Tempo.
