1777. Original antique print, titled: 'Miss Haffey', a portrait of a young girl, Miss Haffey Handcoloured mezzotint engraving on a verge type handlaid paper. Description: Separately published master print, published 1777. Our definition of a Master Print is a seperately published print or series of prints, not being an illustrative print to a text. These can both be prints made by old masters (artists) or prints made by others (artists, engravers, etchers) after old masters.�Artists and Engravers: Engraved by Robt. Laurie after J. Foldson. Robert Laurie (c. 1755-1836) was a English-Scottish mezzotint engraver and publisher. He variously signed his name Lowery, Lowry, Lowrie, Loawrey, Lawrie or Laurie. John Foldsone (d. 1784) was an English portrait painter. He executed a great number of small portraits, at a very reasonable price for the general public. Condition: Excellent, given age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. Professionally matted, not examined out of matting.
