Uneven edges, paper toned, tears not affecting.- Extremely rare, we have been able to locate only one other copy of this work at Stanford University; given by Francisco Paula de Santander (1792 – 1840), theReglamentogives outlines for the conformation of the military (members of staff, quantity, succession, distribution of salaries, etc.) and details all aspects of rule and command for infantry and cavalry, again with specifications of their conformations (number of officers, rations for horses according to the rank of the officer, etc.). Amongst the subjects mentioned, is who is in charged of requesting and making maps, designing fortresses and parks, amongst others. Santander issued the Decree as Vice President of what is not known as the Great Colombia, a position that he would occupy from 1819 to 1827, thus most of its duration, and is undersigned by Carlos Soublette (1789 – 1870), a Venezuelan leader of the War of Independence, who had been recently appointed Minister of War and Marine (March, 1825) of Colombia.
