Plan de la Ville de Sydney Capitale des Colonies Anglaises aux Terres Australes. Levé par Mr Lesueur, et assujetti aux relevmens de Mr Boullanger. 1802.
Paris: Langlois, c.1811. 240 x 315mm. An early plan of the British settlement at Sydney, drawn less that fifteen years after it was founded by Arthur Phillip, 1788. The 36-point key lists the hospital, prisons, store houses, barracks, firing range, saltworks, the property of John Palmer, the school and the gallows. Lesueur was the artist and replacement zoologist on the Baudin expedition of 1800-3 to Australia. It was published in 'Voyage de découvertes aux terres Australes' by François Peron and Louis Freycinet, published 1807-1816.
