A very pleasing copy of this decidedly scarce work. Wighton kept bees and wrote this book based on his experiences and knowledge of beekeeping. Suscribers listed in this work numbered 181 in total. They included the gardeners of some of the great houses of the period, and perhaps most interestingly, a number of highly respected beekeepers, the likes of Rev. Charles Cotton and J.H Payne.
