The interior pages show mild age toning throughout. but are clean, tight and unmarked. Dr. Wu Lien-teh was a Malayan-born Chinese doctor and the first medical student of Chinese descent to study at Cambridge. He was also the first Malayan nominated for the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1935. The authors state in the preface that the purpose of the book was to gather and verify scant, disjointed sources of information on Chinese medicine, in many languages and scattered over several countries and combine them into one resource.
