HERGE [pseud. Georges REMI]
Les Aventures de Tintin. L'Etoile Mysterieuse [The Adventures of Tintin: The Shooting Star].
Paris: Editions Casterman. Printed in Belguim dated 1947 [this edition actually 1953]. Quarto. Bound in publisher's original pictorial paper boards with red cloth spine; dark blue pictorial endpapers, strips printed in colour. The upper board shows Tintin facing a giant mushroom; rear board shows various characters from the Tintin books, and lists other publications, the 'Tintin et Milou' section ending with Objectif Lune (Destination Moon), dating this to 1953.Internally clean, discreet single name 'Hart' to corner of first blank, extremities and spine rubbed, corners worn. Shows well. Another adventure for Tintin and his excentric companions who join an expedition to the Arctic in search of a meteorite. This is a very early colour printing in the original language (first colour edition was 1942).
