Adeva (Akademische Druck- und Verlagsanstalt), Graz - 2001. THE FARNESE HOURS - DE LUXE EDITION * * * The cardinal Alessandro Farnese (1520 - 1589) had himself made a memorial with this work of art in book covers: A book of hours created by Giulio Clovio, the famous illuminator of Cinquecento - none before or after unveiled the artistry of a painter in such a way. Not without reason Clovio is called also "the Rafael of miniatures". Today the manuscript is kept as Ms M.69 in the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York. * * * Title: Farnese Hours - De Luxe Edition * Owner / Shelf mark: Ms. M. 69 Morgan Library & Museum (New York, USA) * Alternative Titles: Das Farnese-Stundenbuch * Ore di Nostra Donna * Theme: Private Devotion Books * Style: Renaissance * Date: 1537-1546 * Origin: Rome (Italy) * Format: 17.2 × 10.8 cm * Extent: 228 pages * Language: Latin * Content: Book of Hours according to the use of Rome. Prayers and devotional texts for the edification of the laity in private use * Artists / Schools: Miniaturist: Giulio Clovio (1498-1578), Scribe: Francesco Monterchi * Illustrations: 26 full-page miniatures, 37 ornamental text pages * Patron: Cardinal Alessandro Farnese (1520-1589), grandson of Pope Paul III (1534-1549) * Former Owners / Provenance: The Book of Hours belonging to the Farnese family removed in the early 18th century from Rome to the Farnese residence in Parma, and later passed to the Biblioteca Borbonica of Naples. From there King Ferdinand II of Naples transferred it to his private collection during the Revolution of 1848. The book must have then been brought back to the Palazzo Farnese in Rome, where it remained until the end of the century.       Xoanon Publishing, 2008. Hardcover. As New. Second Edition, (Revised and Expanded) As new. Standard edition, numbered and limited. #93 out of 720 in Rust colored cloth with black lettering to spine, and black graphic of The Witching Cup (Vasculum) to front board. A treatise on Green Sorcery. "More than common botanical learning, the craft of the Green Witch also encompasses diverse praxes of both Magic and Sorcery, directly applied to the plant realm..." In addition to the general truths embodied in the magic arts ("Magic is the Transmutability of the Quintessence of All Nature"...Sorcery is Knowledge of the points of universal transmutation. Its art is to cultivate the ability to manipulate and utilize these foci of power in accordance with Will, Desire and Belief.") "Green Sorcery echoes these precepts but in addition, presupposes a spiritous template rather than a psychological or energetic substratum..." (and "taps a continuum of power encompassing healing and harming") (All quoted excerpts from the book) The author, a Magister of the Cultus Sabbati, writes: "The perspective of this book, while drawing on the diverse disciplines of the Art Magical, is that of Sabbatic Witchcraft. A revision of the original ("Compleat") edition of 2001. The Author describes this (2008) revision: "...a more cohesive treatment of potion mysteria, integrating additional material, originally excluded for the sake of brevity, as well as understanding gained from The Path since that time. This work is thus a textual visage of the potion arcana of the witch, tempered with the sorcerous metaphysick of Natural Magic, and Alchemy, the Royal Art..."

Berlin: Holzwarth Publications, 2001. (WOOL, CHRISTOPHER) (KORINE, HARMONY). Wool, Christopher & Harmony Korine. CHRISTOPHER WOOL / HARMONY KORINE: PASS THE BITCH CHICKEN - DELUXE SIGNED LIMITED EDITION. Signed by the Artists. Berlin: Holzwarth Publications, 2001. First Edition 1/100 Deluxe. 4to. Printed Self-Wrappers. Artists' Book. Near Fine. np, profusely illustrated in b&w. Design by Hans Werner Holzwarth. In a protective clear acetate dustwrapper. "Pass the Bitch Chicken" is Christopher Wool and Harmony Korine's 2001 collaborative artists' book that in the words of the publisher "tests the limits of the pictorial and the abstract, pushing the boundaries of visual and textual narrative to extremes. Korine's photographs form the basis of an intense process of layering, drawing, overprinting, and photocopying. Passed back and forth between the artists, these images are eventually reduced to ghostly shadows beneath a barrage of scumbled dot screens, random patterning, and symbolic blurs and drips. Gradually, the fragmented, distorted images serially mutate, attacked by a combination of mechanical and human processes. Yet despite the violence exerted upon it, a vestige of narrative always survives". A most handsome example of the exceedingly uncommon 2001 Holzwarth Publications deluxe first edition of one hundred unnumbered copies SIGNED "Wool" and "Korine" in pencil on the front free endpaper, as issued, showing a few barely noticeable surface abrasions to the front cover.
