        NOTES ON BLOOD MERIDIAN

Louisville: Bellarmine College Press, 1993. First Edition. New. Near Fine and unread in illustrated wrappers. Faint crease at the left edge of front panel from being opened, a triffle rubbing to the red on the rear panel, and an unobtrusive sticker pull on the upper right corner of the front endpaper. An extremely scarce critical work on Cormac McCarthy's 1985 masterpiece 'Blood Meridian.' The work began as Sepich's Master's thesis, and evolved into what is likely the most authoritative critical work on McCarthy's writing. Sepich's manuscript was published to coincide with "Cormac McCarthy: The First Conference,' which took place at Bellarmine College in Louisville, Kentucky in October of 1993. 'Notes on Blood Meridian' was published by the newly established Bellarmine College Press in a run of approximately 700 copies. The book was given to each attendee of the conference, with an additional 50 copies being sold. Afterwards, sales of the book lagged, and a few years later the remaining copies sold to the McCarthy Society, where a copy was given gratis to each new member of the Society until the run was exhausted. Much like the novel, Sepich's book has a mystique all it's own. Copies of the book in collectors condition, or indeed in any condition, are quite scarce, with most copies either being heavily read or full of marginalia. A superb copy. Sepich, Arnold xv-xvi.

Sixty-Seven Years of the Fishers Island Club Golf Links

Fishers Island Club, Privately Printed 1993 - The book was published in a limited edition of 500; within this total number a special edition of 100 was published and signed. This is copy #10 of the special edition and is signed by Ferguson, Richard W. Goss, II (the president of the club) and Charlie Arnold (the golf chairman). In addition to those signatures there is a personal inscription to author Michael Bamberger from Charlie Arnold on the FFEP. Issued without a dustjacket. Fishers Island is a Seth Raynor designed golf course consistently ranked in the top 100 in the world located in Long Island sound between Long Island and Connecticut. Very limited membership and affluent island, make this a difficult course to play. Interesting history of this cloistered club. Frederick Law Olmsted's original plans for the east end of Fishers Island included space for two 18 hole courses, but only one was built, the present course, by Seth Raynor. A well done club history chocked full of black and white and color pictures and carefully researched history. This is Fishers Island first club history and is a smaller limitation, only 500 books, than their second history published in 2001 in which 2,000 copies were printed. This is an especially rare copy, as if is one of the special edition of 100 with a low limitation number.
