        Mitsou. Quarante images par Baltusz.

      - - Rotapfel-Verlag, Erlenbach-Zurich & Leipzig 1921. Préface de Rainer Maria Rilke.  4º m. 13, (3) p., 40 hojas. 40 ilustraciones. Gatos, chat, cat, Rilke

        Women in Love

London: Martin Secker, 1921 - FIRST TRADE EDITION in extremely rare original dust jacket; preceded by the scarce privately-printed New York limited edition of 1920. "In spite of what he feared would be the fate of his fiction after The Rainbow, in spring 1916 he started again on the ‘Sisters’ material; after an enormous creative effort in which he wrote the whole book twice he had finished the first version of Women in Love by November 1916. But it was rejected by every publisher who saw it; the fact that it contained recognizable re-creations of several people (including Russell, Heseltine, and the Morrells) did not help; nor did its vivid portrayal of what one publisher's reader called ‘the writer's expressions of antipathy to England and the forms of English civilisation’. To Lawrence it was a novel in which ‘I have knocked the first loop-hole in the prison where we are all shut up’ (Letters, 2.663), but it would not be published for another four years" (Oxford Dictionary of National Biography).Octavo, original brown cloth, original dust jacket. Decorative bookplate of Montgomery Evans II on front pastedown. Book near-fine, with a little toning to text (as usual); dust jacket with toning to spine, chipping to spine edges and corners including an approximately 1x.75 in chip to top corner of rear panel; tape repairs to verso.         Santal

London: Grant Richards, 1921 - INSCRIBED by the author, and very rare thus. An uncharacteristic work for this brilliantly witty writer, but a very personal one: this sentimental tale of an Arab boy's search for God mirrors Firbank's own religious conversion, a happy union of aestheticism and piety. The author's short orchidaceous life ended in 1926, and copies of his works are seldom encountered signed. Edition limited to 300 copies. (Benkovitz A8a). Chipping to spine; a very good copy in mauve wrappers. [Attributes: First Edition]

I Documenti della conquista Ebraica del Mondo. I protocolli dei saggi Anziani di Sion. Il Rapporto del Servizio Segreto Americano. I documenti bolscevichi dell?Ebreo-Russia. Traduzione e note di Fer.

Firenze-Roma, Fede e Ragione, 1921.

Ben conservata.

A Noble Fragment: Being a Leaf of the Gutenberg Bible. With a Bibliographical Essay by A. Edward Newton

New York: Gabriel Wells, 1921 The first substantial book printed in the West was, appropriately, the most important book written in the West, the Holy Bible. Johan Gutenberg, inventor of the art of printing with moveable type, began his Bible around 1462, probably completing it in Mainz in 1455, with his partners on the project, Johann Fust and Peter Schoeffer. The text was the standard Vulgate Latin of Saint Jerome, the Biblia Latina. This work is known among bibliographers as the 42-line Bible. The first book ever printed remains one of the most beautiful books ever printed, a testimony to the meticulous care and artistry that Gutenberg applied to the work. Full black morocco by Stikeman & Co., in black cloth slipcase. The leaf in this copy is folio 168, Volume I, from the Book of III Kings (modern I Kings) 10:5-11:27. Folio. Printed in Gothic type. Two-line Lombard initials in red and headlines and chapter number in alternating red and blue, capital strokes in red. Printed in Gothic type. Two-line Lombard initials in red and headlines and chapter number in alternating red and blue, capital strokes in red. The provenance of the Bible used in this leaf book is as follows: Maria Elisabeth Augusta von Sulbach (1722-1794), wife of Carl Theodore, Elector Prince of the Palatinate, subsequently Elector Prince of Bavaria; Mannheim Hoffbibliothek; Munich Royal Library (de-accessioned in 1832 as a duplicate); Robert Curzon, Baron Zouche (1810-1873) and bey descent until sold at Sotheby's, November 1920, lot 70 to Joseph Sabin; sold the same year to Gabriel Wells.
