En tidig svensk sf-roman som publicerades första gången 1817-19 som följetong i "Allmänna journalen". Detta är första bokupplagan. En tredje oillustrerad upplaga utkom 1832. Wallmark påstår själv, något ursäktande, att berättelsen är skriven "på hållen", det vill säga medan sättaren väntade på bladfyllning till nästa dag. Det är bara denna upplaga som är illustrerad och det är några av de äldsta litografiska bokillustrationerna i Sverige. Det tryckta omslaget med titeln: "Fuselbrenner den yngres resa till Stockholm, år 1913. Med karrikaturer." I den medbundna bokkatalogen annonseras bland annat årgångar av "Allmänna journalen" och "Journal för litteraturen och theatern". "Allmänna journalen" såldes även i lösnummer efter sitt innehåll, exempelvis "Något om en tillkommande realisation af swenska bankosedlarne (3 n:r af Allm. journ. 1820) 3 s b:o".

Solida ed elegante legatura coeva in mezza pelle con piccole punte, dorsi lisci con filetti in oro e titoli su doppi tasselli bicolore. Esemplare in eccellente stato di conservazione. Da un'attenta collazione il presente esemplare risulta mancante della tavola 224 e verosimilmente di 2 tavole non numerate al volume sesto. Opera non comune a reperirsi in tale stato di conservazione e munita di un apparato iconografico di grande bellezza in coloritura particolarmente fresca a vivace.

Zudem gibt es aufgrund der Neueinbindung keine der sonst so oft üblichen Auffälligkeiten wie beschädigte Etiketten, Fehlstellen oder Einrisse an den Rückenkanten. In ebenso gutem Zustand befinden sich die Buchdeckel einschließlich der Kanten & Ecken. Der Buchschnitt ist angeschmutzt & teils fleckig. Innen mit festem Buchblock; keine fehlenden, losen oder eingerissenen Seiten. Kein unangenehmer Geruch. Einige Seiten mit dem typischen Büttenpapierabschluss. Ein Titelblatt mit kleinem Löchel, bei einem Schmutzblatt fehlt am oberen Rand ein Stück, an einer Stelle findet sich am Rand ein Symbol & auf zwei Seiten sind zwei Zeilen bzw. zwei Wörter unterstrichen. One of the most beautiful books to illustrate the Scottish scenery particularly the remote areas of the mountains and glens. These fine aquatints lend themselves to this type of view, creating a glowing,soft effect.George Fennel Robson was born at Durham in 1788. He was a watercolour painter and one of the twenty-three children. His father encouraged his inclination for art, which was early shown by his copying the cuts in Bewick's 'Quadrupeds' and he received his first instruction in drawing from a Mr. Harle of Durham. He began to exhibit at the Royal Academy in 1807, and published in 1808 a print of Durham, the profits of which enabled him to visit Scotland.In 1810 Robson began to exhibit landscapes in the Bond Street gallery of the Associated Painters, of which short-lived society he was a member. In 1813 he began to exhibit with theSociety of Painters in Oil and Watercolours, and in 1814 published 'Scenery of the Grampians', which contained forty outlines of mountain landscape, etched on soft ground by Henry Morton after his drawings. From 1813 to 1820 he contributed on the average, twenty drawings annually to the Oil and Watercolour Society's exhibition, mostly of the Perthshire highlands, but comprising scenes from Durham, the Isle of Wight, and Wales. In 1819 Robson was elected president of the society for the ensuing year. Between1821 and 1833 he exhibited 484 works, or more than thirty-seven on the average annually.Robson was an honorary member of the Sketching Society. Girtin; 5 hand-coloured aquatint plates by Weddell after Clara Maria Pope, heightened with gum arabic; all text ll. and engravings on cloth guards; some light browning and occasional marking, skillful marginal repairs on text ll. and engravings, light marginal dampstaining on final plate; 20th-century full green morocco, the spine in six compartments with raised bands, lettered in gilt along the length of the spine in 4 compartments; light offsetting onto free endpapers, that from turn-ins darker, some slight fading on spine and outer parts of boards, some small scuffs and bumps, foot of spine bumped and with short splits, nonetheless a very good copy of a very rare work.First edition, coloured issue. One of the greatest British flower painters of her era, Clara Maria Pope (baptised 1767, died 1838) counted a number of artists amongst her immediate family: her father was the amateur artist Jared Leigh (1724-1769), her first husband the portrait, landscape, and genre painter Francis Wheatley RA (1747-1801), and her second husband the Irish miniaturist and actor Alexander Pope (1763-1835). When her first husband's health began to fail, Clara supported her family by teaching drawing - her pupils included Princess Sophia of Gloucester - and painting, exhibiting her work at the Royal Academy from 1796 onwards. Although her early exhibits were miniatures, rustic scenes and genre paintings, her reputation rests upon her flower painting and botanical studies, with which she almost solely occupied herself from 1812 until her death on Christmas Eve 1838, and 'the grand manner of her illustrations has ensured her a place in the history of botanical illustration' (ODNB). The text accompanying Pope's dramatic images was written by Samuel Curtis, the cousin of William Curtis (1746-1799), the celebrated English botanist and entomologist, and founder and editor of the Botanical Magazine. Samuel married his second cousin Sarah Caustin (1779-1827, the daughter of William), in October 1801, and thus became the proprietor of the Botanical Magazine, although he did not gain full control of publication until 1827. Samuel Curtis' only other published work, The Beauties of Flora (Gamston, Nottinghamshire: 1820), was also illustrated by Pope. Described by Great Flower Books as 'one of the earliest and probably the finest of all the great camellia books', Curtis and Pope's Monograph on the Genus Camellia was issued with uncoloured plates at £3. 3s and with coloured plates at £6. 16s. 6d., but publication appears to have ceased prematurely, possibly due to the expenses incurred by Curtis. (Although the title is dated 1819, the text and plates leaves all bear watermarks dated 1818-1820, suggesting that publication spanned at least two years.) The text consists of notes on the class and order of the Japan Rose (p. 1), descriptions of the specimens illustrated (pp. 2-7), 'propagation and culture' (pp. 6-7), and a list of 'all Camellias at present known' (p. 8), and is enlivened with Curtis's remarks on a species which fascinated him: 'Just as the dawn is the harbinger of morning, and the sun does not at once reach his meridian glory, so the Camellias advance upon us by degrees in beauty' (p. 3). The five coloured plates depict eleven varieties of Camellia Japonica (Japan Rose): 'Single White; Single Red Camellia; Sasanqua Camellia'; 'Double White Camellia; Double Striped Camellia'; 'Pompone or Kew Blush Camellia; Double Red Camellia'; 'Anemome flower'd or Waratah Camellia; Rose coloured or Middlemists Camellia'; and 'Buff or Humes Blush Camellia; Myrtle leaved Camellia'. The work is rare in commerce: Anglo-American auction records only list two copies at auction since 1975 (of which one lacked the title and text, and had had the plates laid down). This rarity is confirmed by Dunthorne's statement of the Monograph and The Beauties of Flora that, 'both of these grand and important works ... are so rare that they are known only to a fortunate few' (p. 40) and by the judgement of Great Flower Books that, 'Monograph on the Genus Camellia [is ...] as beautiful and rare as its companion' (p. 43).

      1819. 8vo (184 × 116 mm). 1 p. on a single bifolium. To "mon cher comte", informing him of a detour to Paris to see Madame de Laval. - Talleyrand, one of the most powerful French statesmen of all time, whose career straddled the Ancien régime, Revolution and Restoration was successively a bishop, a revolutionary who assisted in the drafting of the Declaration of the Rights of Man, an exile in America, and Foreign Minister to both Napoleon and his successor, the restored Bourbon king, Louis XVIII. He was also, of course, a legendary womaniser. "He believed that power and intelligence were the perfume of courtship and he wielded them with deadly charm" (Schama). In this short note he writes that he intends to extend a journey, probably from his home at Valençay to Bourbonnes-le-Bains (Haute-Marne, a spa town) and pass via Paris, because he will have the chance to see Madame Laval "si elle passe par Paris comme je le crois". He writes that it will only extend his journey by 25 leagues (at least 100 miles). Madame Laval was the longest-standing of all his many mistresses. A noted hostess and lover of gambling, Talleyrand had first seen her at the coronation of Louis XVI and she soon became his lover. Despite other passions the two remained remarkably loyal to each other until the end of Talleyrand's life. Contemporary Aimée de Coigny characterised Madame de Laval as "changeant d'amants presque autant que d'années" and as "maïtresse de M. de Talleyrand quand elle était jolie, actuellement son amie très exigeante". - Trace of seal at upper left-hand corner, old folds, but fine. To Ernst Weller, concerning the Jena Observatory, instructing him to place into the charge of Professor Posselt, as discussed, the Jena observatory, as well the instruments, books, furniture and items contained in the garden house, and to consult Hofmechanikus Körner concerning the instruments, requesting him to give one of the two copies of the agreed inventory to Dr. Posselt, the other to be returned to himself, asking him to confirm Carl Lebrecht Hammer in his duties and to provide Dr. Posselt with a copy of the conditions of the former's employment, and concluding with the request that he prepare an exact report on these matters and that he submit it to [the undersigned], signed in Goethe's capacity as director of the "Großherzogl: S. Ober-Aufsicht über alle unmittelbare Anstalten für Wissenschaft und Kunst". - From 1816 Goethe was a minister of state and head of the supervisory office for culture and education in the Grand Duchy of Weimar. One of his various responsibilities was the observatory at Jena, founded in 1812 and built on the site of Schiller's so-called garden house (mentioned here). Johann Friedrich Posselt (1794-1823) was only the observatory's second director. Goethe's correspondent, the librarian and philologist C. E. F. Weller (1789-1854), was then at the start of his career, having been appointed the previous April an auxiliary official dealing with the supervision of the University of Jena. - Light spotting, small tears, and small damages to edges.

Sicuramente una delle pubblicazioni più esaustive sulla giurisprudenza, nata come ausilio ai Principi del Foro, con le notizie e gli approfondimenti sui più importanti ed interessanti quesiti giuridici dirimiti da sentenze che facevano giurisprudenza, dalla fatica del Conte Pietro Gaetano Galli della Loggia, Presidente del Senato e reggente il Magistrato della Camera. In questa seconda edizione curata dall'Avv. Francesco Arrò e da lui di molto ampliata con l'aggiunta di Note ed Addizioni pur mantenendone la forma, nella distribuzione dei Titoli, posta dall'Autore della prima edizione: una prima parte relativa alla Tela Giudiziaria in un volume, una seconda parte in cui si tratta della Materia Contrattuale, Testamentaria, Feudale ed Ecclesiastica, raccolta in sette volumi ed una terza parte che comprende quanto concerne gli Atti di Volontaria Giurisdizione, in un volume, a cui si aggiungono un volume di supplemento (che arricchisce l'opera di un Commentario sulle disposizioni Legislative sancite nei Regi Editti del 16 luglio e del 22 settembre 1822 sul Sistema Giudiziario ed il Diritto Ipotecario) ed uno di indice. Un prezioso contributo aggiuntivo è dato a quest'opera già di per se indubbiamente notevole ed importante, dalle Note Manoscritte, oltre che su alcune carte bianche appositamente legate al volume di supplemento, aggiunte ed unite all'opera in due ulteriori volumi con il titolo di "Note all'Editto del 16 luglio (e, rispettivamente) del 22 settembre 1822" di 144 e 234 pagine non numerate e bianche finali. Stilate a pennino dall'Avv. Stefano Ardazzo (elencato fra gli avvocati torinesi nel Calendario generale pe' Regi Stati .. 1829). Opera di grande efficacia e di facile consultazione. Rarissima a trovarsi completa nei suoi undici volumi per l'ampiezza del tempo di pubblicazione, ed unica in quest'esemplare completo in tredici volumi, annessi i due manoscritti. Di grandissimo interesse per la storia della giurisprudenza dello Stato sabaudo, che divenne poi il nucleo della giurisprudenza dello Stato unitario. Il corpus è in ottime condizioni, lamentando solo qualche abrasione ai piatti e qualche rara menda d'uso. Importante ed assolutamente notevole.

        Autograph Musical Manuscript - A Study in Counterpoint, Napoli, 1819

      Used; Like New/Used; Like New. Early autograph musical manuscript in the hand of the Italian operatic composer. 32 pp. total, numbered in a later hand; pp. 1-16 are in Bellini's hand; pp. 17-32 are in an unknown hand. Half vellum binding with printed cover label titled "Studio del Contrappunto fatto da Vincenzo Bellini, Napoli 1819, Autografo." 11.5 x 9 inches (29.5 x 23.5 cm). Some light edge wear and foxing, especially to the later pages not in Bellini's hand, and one chip to the binding, but overall in fine condition.<br style="">The manuscript was previously in the collection of the American musicologist H. C. Robbins Landon (1926-2009) and was discussed in Bellini scholar Friedrich Lippmann's 1977 article "Belliniana: Nuovi Documenti."The music in Bellini's hand consists of a series of contrapuntal exercises in three parts, over a series of simple bass lines, all in C major. First, the young composer works out basic voice-leading models for a I-V-I cadence, and then writes increasingly complex variations on the same short bass; this procedure is repeated for a I-IV-V-I cadence, a I-iii6-IV-#IV6-V-I progression, and ascending and descending scales in the bass. The musical writing gains in complexity over the relatively few pages, by the final examples incorporating imitative and canonic writing. The final page in Bellini's hand bears two studies in four voices.In 1819, Bellini was only 18 years old and had just been granted a scholarship to study at the Real Collegio di Musica in Naples. Coming from a musical family in Sicily, he was well prepared for his studies. Both his grandfather, Vincenzo Tobia Bellini, and his father, Rosario Bellini, were composers and maestri di cappella. According to an (undoubtedly hyperbolic) anonymous manuscript now in the Museo Belliniano in Catania, the young Bellini had sung an aria by Fioravanti at the age of 18 months and taken over for his grandfather as conductor in church at age 3. He also began to compose at a young age, receiving lessons from his grandfather. <br style=""><br style="">At the conservatory in Naples, Bellini studied with Giovanni Furno, Giacomo Tritto, Girolamo Crescentini. and Niccolò Zingarelli. A cornerstone of his training was traditional counterpoint, as the exercises in this manuscript demonstrate. Besides this, he gained an understanding of the voice by composing many wordless solfeggi. Nearby at the Naples theatres, Rossini was the composer-in-residence from 1815 to 1822, and Bellini was influenced both by the older composer's florid style and by the more austere aesthetic of his teachers. According to Mary Ann Smart, "The conservatory's mostly septuagenerian faculty promulgated a conservative style of composition[...] espousing simple melodies and clear text-setting while violently opposing the florid vocal style and 'noisy' orchestration of Rossini [...] Bellini absorbed the Neapolitan doctrine thoroughly and produced works that pleased his teachers without ignoring the Rossini example. Le  lezioni di agricoltura rappresentano la summa del suo pensiero in questo campo (si occupo' anche di filosofia e religione) e sono suddivise per: Teorie sulla struttura e funzioni de' vegetabili, terre geoponiche, concimi ecc.; Sulla coltivazione dei cereali e di varie piante alimentarie dell'uomo e piu' opportune a' suoi usi economici; La coltura degli alberi boschivi; La coltura degli alberi da frutto ingentiliti dalla coltura; De' prati e del loro governo, degli animali che hanno un piu' immediato rapporto al buon andamento dell'agricoltura e del modo migliore di nutrirli e conservarli sani. Particolarmente importante anche l'opera dedicata ai disordini  fisici ed economici  in campo agrario presenti nel Regno di Napoli. In questa analisi l'autore di Ripamilasano ha ben chiara l'arretratezza in cui versa l'agricoltura del Sud Italia ed anche quella settentrionale, nonostante autori come Dandolo, ed evidenzia responsabilita' da parte dei proprietari dei fondi i quali affittano ai braccianti le nude terre, senza alcuna dote di sementi od animali. Impossibile in questo modo fare miglioramenti e realizzare le rotazioni che permetterebbero una migliore resa del suolo. Opera rara ed importante ITA

      Ferguson 14914. First edition of grammars and vocabularies for three languages spoken by Australian Aborigines, compiled by William Ridley, professor at Sydney University and Minister of the Presbyterian Church of New South Wales. Ridley (1819-1878), an English missionary, came to Sydney in 1850. He wished to learn these languages in order to teach the Aborigines and carry out missionary work among them. Since the Aborigines had no written language, the present book forms a primary source for the languages as they existed more than 150 years ago, when they had had less contact with the Western world. He writes that he found these Aboriginal languages to posses a remarkable regularity and exactness, and that they "indicate an accuracy of thought, and a force of expression, surpassing all that is commonly supposed to be attainable by a savage race". In 1866 that was a remarkably progressive notion. He also adds some notes on Aboriginal names and customs. The book is nicely produced, with lovely wood engravings and interesting as an early example of Australian colour printing. The coat of arms is much like the earliest one known, which dates from 1821, but the third quarter shows a barrel and other goods rather than a harpoon and anchor.With library stamps (including a cancellation stamp) on the endpapers and blank parts of the title-page, and a paper label with manuscript shelf-mark on the binding. In very good condition. The spine is somewhat faded and there is minor damage to the board edges, but the binding is also very good.

LE ANTICHITA ROMANE La serie delle vedute di Antichità Romane, composta di 101 tavole, viene realizzata con il ricavato della e vendita dei rami della Raccolta di cinquanta principali vedute di antichità tratte dai scavi fatti in Roma in questi ultimi tempi divise in 40 vedute edita nel 1817. Con quest'opera, per il numero delle tavole e per il formato prescelto, di grandi dimensioni, l'incisore vuole affermarsi come figura di primo piano nel mondo artistico romano. In quest'opera Rossini si cimenta in un diretto confronto con il suo predecessore G. B. Piranesi che costituisce un punto di riferimento per un incisore di vedute antiche, per quanto riguarda l'originalità e l'ampiezza della riproduzione. Il Rossini, oltre a sottolineare la sua influenza nella scelta del titolo e di alcune didascalie, usa frequentemente le medesime inquadrature e identici punti di vista del maestro veneziano. Altro elemento riconducibile a Piranesi è l'uso della luce e dei forti contrasti chiaroscurali. In queste tavole raggiunge una certa padronanza del mezzo tecnico che gli permette di cimentarsi in inquadrature più complesse nelle quali si nota un'organizzazione spaziale molto articolata. Nelle tavole è frequente il ricorso al taglio diagonale della veduta, consentendogli una più ampia possibilità di graduare i chiaroscuri in profondità. Tuttavia essendo l'opera composta da molte tavole presenta una certa discontinuità ed è possibile riscontrare in alcune di esse qualche incertezza nella impostazione prospettica ed alcune durezze nel segno. Rimanendo fedele alla tradizione corrente, la scelta dei soggetti operata dal Rossini non introduce nessuna novità; sono infatti rappresentati tutti i più importanti monumenti e luoghi archeologici di Roma. Elementi di novità sono sottolineati dalla registrazione puntuale dei lavori di indagine e di scavo intrapresi in quegli anni che dalla originalità delle inquadrature. Di particolare interesse da un punto di vista documentario sono le ultime quattro incisioni relative alla distruzione della Basilica di San Paolo fuori le mura, in seguito all'incendio del 15 luglio 1823. La volontà di voler animare le vedute, restituendo il monumento al suo contesto storico e la propria inadeguatezza nel campo della figura porta Rossini ad una collaborazione con Bartolomeo Pinelli, incisore romano, interprete e illustratore del costume e della vita popolare; a cui si devono le figure e i gruppi caratteristici che corredano le vedute. Pinelli in alcuni casi, riprende i motivi tratti dalle sue precedenti raccolte di Costumi pittoreschi romani. ROMAN ANTIQUITIES The series of views Antichità Romane, made of 101 plates, was realized with the proceeds of the sale of the plates used for Raccolta di cinquanta principali vedute di antichità tratte dai scavi fatti in Roma in questi ultimi tempi divided in 40 views, published in 1817. This is the work with which the artist wanted to become one of the most important artists in the Roman cultural life; we can state that if we consider the size of the work and the subject he choose. In this work Rossini tested himself with his predecessor, G. B. Piranesi, who was considered as a point of reference when it came to ancient views and originality. Rossini, was deeply influenced by Piranesi, as it can be seen in the title, the legends, the same points of views and framing. Another important element he took from Piranesi is the use of light and the contrast of chiaroscuro. In these plates Rossini reached the higher mastery of the technique, realizing also extremely particular framings and a new and complex organization of the space. In the plates quite common is the diagonal view of the subject, which gave him the possibility to elaborate more the chiaroscuro. However, since the work is made of many plates, it is quite discontinuous and some of the plates present some indecision in the perspective formulation and a little harshness in the mark. Always following the tradition of his time, Rossini's choice of the subjects does not present any kind of originality; he actually depicted all the main archaeological sites and monuments of Rome. The sole novelty is represented by the precise record of the excavation works and analysis. Quite interesting, from a documental point of view, are the last four engravings depicting the destruction of the Basilica of St. Paul outside the wall, after the fire of July the 15th, 1823. The will to give life to his views, the reinstatement of the monuments to their historic context and the fact that he was not good with figures, brought Rossini to start a partnership with Bartolomeo Pinelli, Roman engraver and costume illustrator of daily life. Manoel Fernandes Tomaz (Figueira da Foz, 1771-Lisbon, 1822), jurist and public functionary, was one of the leaders of the liberal revolution of 1820. He was most active in the constitutional Cortes from 26 January 1821, until the Cortes was forcibly closed 4 November 1822.Provenance: The Conde de Peniche to whom these volumes were presented by the author could have been the second to hold that title, D. Manuel de Almeida e Noronha (1788-1824), who was given the title during the lifetime of his father, the first count, on 13 November 1815. The author's dedication message on the verso of the second unnumbered preliminary leaf in volume I is dated 15 December 1815. D. Manuel was an officer in the Peninsular War, achieving the rank of captain in 1814, and being promoted to major in 1819 by Marshal Beresford, for whom he served as aide-de-camp. It is not impossible that the presentation inscription might refer to his father, the first Conde de Peniche, D. Caetano José de Noronha e Albuquerque (1753-1829). He was confirmed in the title on 6 December 1806, served on the Conselho da Fazenda, the Junta do Tabaco, was governor and capitão-mor of the Algarve, and was one of the governors of the kingdom (1818). An attractive and rare example of a selection from a composition of Franz von Suppe (1819-1895). He was a conductor and composer during the Romantic period who wrote four dozen light operettas. He is familiar to many today because his cheerful music has been widely used in Walt Disney films such as Bugs Bunny as well as others by Walter Lanz. General light toning; minor ink feathering, otherwise Fine. Frame is worn.

        Carteggio costituito da quattro belle lettere autografe firmate dell'erudito umbro, noto in Arcadia con lo pseudonimo di Doralco Enipeio, traduttore dal greco (autore della prima traduzione completa in italiano delle Odi di Pindaro, Pisa 1819-20) e autore di poesie di gusto classicheggiante, indirizzate all'ecclesiastico ed erudito Pietro Bagnoli (1767 - 1847) confessore del Granduca Ferdinando III (che seguì anche in esilio a Vienna, Buda e Wurzburg, provvedendo all'educazione degli arciduchi) ricche di riferimenti all'attività erudita e letteraria del Mezzanotte. Riportiamo un passo a titolo di esempio, in cui è presente un sonetto scritto in onore dell'illustre poeta Ippolito Pindemonte, scomparso alcune settimane prima. "Ho versato lacrime vere sulla perdita irreparabile di Vincenzo Monti e d'Ippolito Pindemonte, e la morte di quest'ultimo mi fu singolarmente amarissima, giacché io ero a lui unito con intima, dolcissima relazione. Ohimè, quanta perdita ha fatto l'Italia in poco tempo! Il cuore profondamente addolorato mi dettò un sonetto sul tristo avvenimento che mi piace trascrivervi, sulla fiducia di farvi cosa gradita, ben conoscendo la bontà con cui riguardate le mie povere produzioni. Edition originale. Quinze livraisons furent imprimées sur les 20 livraisons annoncées, et réunies en un volume. 1 portrait de David dessiné par Dévéria et 14 gravures au trait. Ce compte-rendu épistolaire adressé à Louis David, encore en exil, fut attribué à Louis-François Lhéritier dit Lhéritier de l'Ain, Emile Deschamps, Hyacinthe de La Touche et Antony Béraud. Frappés de l'invasion des toiles religieuses qui étaient presque toutes des commandes de l'Etat, les auteurs raillent cet enthousiasme qui veut persuader qu'au Salon on se croit à l'Eglise et volontiers demanderait « qu'on mette un bénitier à la porte, et qu'on fasse en entrant le signe de croix ». Eloge enthousiaste du Radeau de la Méduse de Géricault qui est la vedette du Salon ; l'oeuvre ne passa pas inaperçue ; elle ne flattait en effet ni le trône, ni l'autel et ne contribuait pas non plus à la « gloire de la nation ». Le tableau apparut comme une provocation, comme une allégorie de la souffrance humaine. Bel exemplaire dans une fine reliure non signée.
