Antonio LAFRERI (Salins, Giura 1512 - Roma 1577)
1572. "Bulino, 1572, datato in lastra in basso. "Engraving, 1572, dated at lower right. A fine impression, printed on contemporary laid paper, trimmed to the platemark and laid down on antique paper, very good condition. In 1540 Antonio Lafreri, a native of Besançon transplanted to Rome, began publishing maps and other printed images that depicted major monuments and antiquities in Rome. These images were calculated to appeal to the taste for classical antiquity that fueled the cultural event we call the Renaissance. After Lafreri published a title page in the mid - 1570s, collections of these prints came to be known as the Speculum Romanae Magnificentiae, the ""Mirror of Roman Magnificence."" Tourists and other collectors who bought prints from Lafreri made their own selections and had them individually bound. Over time, Lafreri's title page served as starting point for large and eclectic compilations, expanded and rearranged by generations of collectors … [Click Below for Full Description]

Manuskript im Einband des Stuttgarter Hofbuchbinders Wilhelm Funck -:
Württemberg, um 1572. - circa 32,5 x 22 cm. 240 Blatt Blindgeprägtes Schweinsleder d. … [Click Below for Full Description]

[Coiter, Volcher].
1572. 2 rad. Tafeln (ca. 556 x 328 mm und 546 x 290 mm). Folio. … [Click Below for Full Description]

Giovanni Battista de' CAVALIERI o CAVALLERIS (1525 - 1601)
Interessante e rara opera. Engraving, ca. 15 … [Click Below for Full Description]
