Martin ZASINGER (Maestro MZ) (Monaco 1477 - 1509?)
"St Ursula; the saint stands within a landscape, turned to the right, holding a book and arrow. Engraving, 1500 circa, signed, at lower centre, with the monogram "MZ". Good example, printed on contemporary laid paper, occasional light stain, otherwise in good condition. Bulino, 1500 circa, firmata in basso a destra 'Petri de Nobilibus Formis'. [Click Below for Full Description]

Niello, circa 1500. Niello, 1500 circa. Magnificent work, printed on contemporary laid paper without watermark, in excellent condition. The niello is a particular technique to work metals; is a kind of engraving with a decoration on a black background realized through a mix of copper, silver, lead and sulphur. The niello started in Florence, in the XV century, the history of Italian engravings, straight from the Florentine tradition of goldsmiths. Passavant described it in his Duchesne catalogue, in 1828. Excellent example of a rare work. Bibliografia: Passavant I, p. 287, 459; Dutuit II, p. 111, 30. Dimensioni 40x40.

Martin ZASINGER (Maestro MZ) (Monaco 1477 - 1509?)
The pair of lovers; a young couple seated, gazing tenderly at each other, within a landscape with lake. Engraving, circa 1500, signed at lower center with the monogram "MZ". A good impression on contemporary paper, with margins, generally in good condition. In the absence of appreciable stylistic or technical development, Zasinger's production can be concentred around 1500. The prints are equally divided between religious and secular objects; most of his works have landscape backgrounds executed with a delicate touch that suggests a precursor of Albrecht Altdorfer and other painters of the Danu … [Click Below for Full Description]

Monogrammista IICA
"Bulino, 1500 - 1510 circa, firmato su una persiana della finestra sopra la testa della Vergine: I I / C A. Bella impressione, stampata su carta vergata coeva, irregolarmente ritagliata all'interno del rame con minima perdita di parte incisa, tracce di colla al verso, per il resto in ottimo stato di conservazione. L'incisione risente fortemente dello stile di Mantegna e della sua cerchia e, sebbene Bartsch la elenchi tra le opere di Giulio Campagnola, non ha niente a che fare con l'artista veneto. Il sistema di ombreggiatura è il principale indizio di dipendenza stilistica da Mantegna, e il curioso tratteggio simile al moiré sul drappeggio e l'albero a destra si riscontrano nella Scuola del Mantegna, così come la nuvola in alto a sinistra, il terreno roccioso e il drappeggio di San Giuseppe. La composizione può derivare in parte dall'Adorazione dei Magi di Mantegna, poiché condivide con essa la processione di adoratori che scendono lungo un sentiero di montagna, gli angeli che pregano su una nuvola sopra la Vergine e il motivo degli alberi aridi che crescono dalle sporgenze rocciose. Sembra anche che il Maestro II CA abbia studiato le opere di Bartolomeo e Benedetto Montagna. La madre e il bambino in questa incisione possono riflettere la Sacra Famiglia di Bartolomeo del 1500 - 1505 circa. Il viso di di San Giuseppe appare anche in molte delle stampe di Benedetto. Inoltre, la tecnica, nonostante i suoi ovvi elementi mantegneschi, è simile alla maniera riscontrata nel secondo gruppo di incisioni di Benedetto, datato ai primi del Cinquecento. Rheims et Bramly ont créé une série de tableaux extraordinaires qui suggèrent toutes les potentialités de l'intrigue et mettent en scène des célébrités comme Naomi Campbell, Michelle Yeoh, Monica Bellucci, Charlotte Rampling, Valérie Lemercier, Inès Sastre, Anna Mouglalis, Audrey Marnay, Anthony Delon, Rona Hartner, Jean-Pierre Kalfon, Azzedine Alaïa, Louise Bourgoin et Hélèna Noguerra. EVERS, R.;
Antwerpen , De Vries - Brouwers, Paperback, 228pp. ISBN 9789064460081. Talmoedisch denken is juridisch doordenken. [Click Below for Full Description]
