Sinon très bel exemplaire ----Very scarce first edition of Joseph Cundall's retelling of 21 classic children's tales inc Simple Simon, Little Bo-Peep, Tom the Piper's son and the Three Bears, in which Cundall made the female lead a young girl rather than an old women, although it was half a century later she was first called Goldilocks. Norwich-born Cundall, who published the book in association with Grant and Griffith, was a children's book publisher and prominent Victorian photographer. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
