Very fine condition with the original box and mailing carton.The sketchbook contains an anthology of Mooreâs drawings from his mature period of the late1970s. Subjects include the reclining figure (mostly of women); the seated figure; mother andchild; bones (ideas for sculpture); domestic scenes; old master paintings. The sketchbook alsoshows studies of section line drawings which are forms described purely by line with no shading.Moore called these the âstringed form and internal and external forms."The complete set consists of(1) etching and aquatint in colors, on wove paper, signed in pencil, numbered B 47/75, loosewithin the beige paper wrappers (as issued).(2) facsimile sketchbook, 86pps.
