The New Revelation.
Chicago, IL: The Progressive Thinker, c.1917. - Pamphlet, pp. 21. In grey paper covers, with ruled panelling and titles to front cover, rear cover blank. A little rubbed externally, slightly parted at lower joint extending <1cm, and at upper joint just over 1cm, with several small chips at corners. Internally clean, with some gentle tanning. This rare pamphlet contains a report of a speech given by Doyle on 25th October 1917 to the London Spiritualist Alliance at the Salon of the Royal Society of British Artists, with several extensive direct quotations from Doyle, and an afterword by Sir Oliver Lodge. The speech was later published in Light, and subsequently formed the core of the book of the same title. The speech is reported in Green and Gibson, but the pamphlet is not described. Doyle's speech tells the story of his conversion to spiritualism, and reflects on the necessity of embracing research into psychic phenomena. A curious item of great interest. Green and Gibson, B23: "Notes", p.300.
