This copy belonging to Robert Arthur, who played Barnaby, with his name on the front wrapper in holograph pencil and holograph pencil notations, additions and changes to his scenes throughout. Based on the novel by Margaret Irwin, this biography of Elizabeth I recounts her early years following the execution of her mother Anne Boleyn for infidelity, Elizabeth is declared illegitimate and loses her place in line for the throne. She is sent away and repeatedly called back by her father until she becomes a teenager and refuses to return. She later falls in love with Lord Admiral Thomas Seymour (Granger), and eventually becomes the Queen of England. Nominated for two Academy Awards. Set in England. Yellow titled wrappers, rubber-stamped copy No. 11 and production No. 1604, dated March 19, 1951, with credits for director George Sidney, and screenwriters Jan Lustig and Arthur Wimperis. 129 leaves, with last leaf of text numbered 128. Mimeograph, with revision pages throughout, dated variously between March 1, 1951 and September 9, 1952. Pages Very Good, wrapper Very Good bound with two gold brads. [Attributes: Soft Cover]
