Hand drawn illustrations. Bound in paper over boards. In paper envelope with slip-and-slot closure. Signed and dated by the artist. The ankh was the Egyptian hieroglyphic character representing the concept of eternal life. Meryl Perloff: "A twelve panel accordion book contains a rotating image of a golden Ankh attached to each mountain fold. The folding panels are embellished with small photographs of Egyptian-themed subjects. Vertical glyphs have been hand drawn on each panel to further enhance the theme. "Chipboard covers add stability to the structure and the gold fiber paper coverings continue the theme of the Golden Ankh. An embossed likeness of the Ankh adds interest to the cover. "A black paper envelope is printed with gold symbols in keeping with the nature of the book. The envelope protects and emphasizes the importance of the volume within.
