Untitled print of Kite Flying.
[London.] No date. Ca. 1875. - Color lithograph, 10 x 15 1/2 inches on sheet size 12 x 17 1/4 inches. Light soiling in outer margins, small hole in upper right margin (outside image area), registration marks at centre of side margins. Very good condition. A richly colored, high quality lithograph after the English painter Myles Birket Foster (1825-1899), a scene of country children flying a kite. Although unsigned, it is from a series of scenes of children engaged in country activities of work and play produced by this artist of Victorian England. His work was published in venues such as The Illustrated London News, but this was an independently issued print. An atmospheric scene, full of movement.
