Recueil de Decorations Interieures, comprenant tout ce qui a rapport a l'ameublement.
- Paris, the Authors & Didot 1812. folio, uncut in original boards, modern straight grain morocco spine. [4],43pp, 72 engraved plates. Scattered light spotting; a very good copy. Issued in parts from 1801 (has anyone ever seen a set?) This was the apotheosis of the Empire style, by its inventors. The elegant outline plates display interiors and furniture done for Napoleon at the Tuileries, and for clients throughout Europe - though the descriptions make clear that manufacture was by Parisian craftsmen. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
