Hardcover, 8vo. in deep red buckram with gilt spine title. 420pp. with frontis depicting the left hemisphere of the brain and one other plate depicting 'Professor Charcot's Diagram of Articulate and Written Language', plus 5p. reviews. Very good. Curling and minor fraying to cloth spine ends, rubbing to spine and board corners. Top edge darkened, crossed out gift inscription to front free endpaper. The binding remains tight and the contents clear and unmarked. A nice edition of Sir Bateman's (FRCP) theories on the phenomena of speech loss in relation to the brain.
