Augusta, Georgia: William S. Jones, Publisher, 1858. First Edition. Hardcover. Fair. Quarto. 384 pages. Ex-library copy that has been restored. Original reddish marbled paper covered boards with new red cloth spine. Stabilized red leather corners. Repaired hinges. 1899 Carnegie Library of Atlanta label on front paste down. Periodical consists of 12 issues from January through December 1858. Several pages have been clipped: pages 187, 188 completely removed; pages 189, 190 has about two thirds cut out; pages 275, 276 have about half cut out; pages 295, 296 also have about half clipped. Light to moderate foxing and toning to pages. Some of the print is very light. Topics include "Plantation Economy and Miscellany", farm animals, crops, equipment, etc. Several of the advertisements in the bound periodical are illustrated. Some illustrations in text.
