Vol. II: 363 pages of text followed by [ii] pages of pubisher's advertisement. The title page of volume two states 1731 as the publication date, whereas the title page of the first volume states 1738. Both title pages are stamped twice with the previous owner's name, and both front pastedown endpapers contain the previous owner's bookplate: Henry von Wackerbarth. The first few pages of volume 2 contain a small circular stain, there are a few light pencil marks scattered throughout the text, and the top edge of the closed pages is lightly spotted. Title continues "...Their Religion, Government, Laws, Customs, Ceremonies and Opinions; Their Art of War, Possessions, Language, Genius, &c. Together with a Short Account of the Dutch Settlement at the Cape. Done into English from the Original by Mr. Medley. The Second Edition.". Second edition. Hardcover. Very good condition.
