Brooks was editor of Punch magazine. 124 pages with one page of ads in the rear. Bound in contemporary quarter red leather over marbled boards with large color illustrated title label pressed onto the front cover. Bookplate of William Asheton Tonge with his Coat-Armour on the front paste-down endpaper. A few penciled bibliographic notes on the front endpapers. A few spots of foxing on the endpapers and a few of the preliminary and final pages. Small library plate on the reverse of the frontis. No other library markings, plates or pockets were ever present.
