Kathmandu, Nepal: Starstream Editions, circa 1974-77. First Printing. Single Sheet. Very Fine. (Appx.) 10"x15&1/3" broadside with a poem by Ira Cohen (1935-2011), the legendary poet, publisher, photographer & filmmaker whose career & travels spanned the Beat era & beyond. We presume this to be among the Starstream Edition series of broadsides created between 1974-77 in Kathmandu, Nepal while Cohen lived & worked there among natives & literary expatriates. Printed on a local paper on a handpress by local craftsmen. Text framed in decorative design by Sidney E. Hushour. Title is likely the first line of the poem, below which is a printed facsimile of the poet's signature. An extremely rare & beautiful Cohen collectible, in very fine condition. Wrinkles, spotting, fiber-debris undoubtedly as issued with this delicate, hand-crafted item. Two light horizontal creases in middle may be from folding into thirds, one very small chip at right edge near upper right corner. Item is currently mounted on still board, in protective wrap, will be shipped rolled in tube.
