In very good condition. Spines are slightly darkened with some rubbing to ends and corners. Some rubbing to the middles of rear boards. Endpapers darkened with owners bookplate. Some very mild foxing to title/endpapers else very clean and tight copies. Very scarce. "Spence 278, mentions three volumes, but this is simply an error. This issue, intended for libraries is quite complete, with all panoramas which were omitted from later editions, and is also the most desirable, the cloth being more durable than the linen and paper of the first edition." - Gaston Renard, ‘Major Collections of Antarctica’, 1994.
