"Fouquet's essay contrives to combine the organic pulses of his teacher Théophile de Bordeu and critical pulses of Solano and his disiple Nihell. The book is notable or its remarkable graphic representations of various pulses. Fouquet is described by Ewart as the father of modern tactile spygmology.
