Greene (1922-2013) writer, New Orleans jazz musician, documentarian, and historian and teacher who wrote one of the earliest books on scriptwriting for television and taught the subject at Columbia; Collection including fourteen letters, most having their mailing envelopes: 12/23/79 typed letter signed on his letterhead notepaper thanking for ".your generous letter.You are inordinately modest when you raise the question of whether your thesis is "worth the reading." Take back them words. It is not only worth the reading, but the best written, by a good margin, of the dozen or so theses (all of them respectable, mind you) which have either been about me, or involved me.
