Quarter-bound in marbled paper over brown leather. Raised banding to the spine. Rubbing to the leather & split to the front & rear hinge. Scuffing to boards & significant wear to the extremities. Titles to spine have been rubbed away, the label being deeply age-toned. Paper to boards is age-toned. Fore-edges tanned, with red-flecking just visible. Internally small relevant clipping to the front paste-down & small pencil inscription to the ffp. Pages a little cockled, yet clean with only faint tanning increasing in depth of shade towards the extremities. Title page printed in black & red. Text is in English, Greek & Latin.The original catalogue of books printed for, sold by Charles Harper to the rear is present. Binding sound.
