A Fine copy in bright green cloth stamped in yellow, in a Very Good Plus second state dustwrapper (without Kerouac blurb, not price-clipped, flaps trimmed, with some smoothed wrinkles, but bright and unfaded (untypically so!). Text and endpapers clean and unmarked. 311pp. Kesey's first book, a counterculture novel--written while he was a writing workshop student at Stanford, working the night-shift at a mental hospital--it became an iconic cultural document of the Beat and Psychedelic generations, and was successfully adapted by Hollywood (with Jack Nicholson in an academy winning role as the hero McMurphy).
