Diodoro Siculo delle antique historie fabulose. Nuovamente fatto vulgare et con diligentia stampato.
Firenze, eredi di Filippo Giunta il vecchio, 1526. - 8°. 119 num. ff., 1 f., with 2 printer s devices Old full vellum Brunet II, 718; Graesse II, 396; Decia, I Giunti 195: "Prima edizione della anonima traduzione di questo testo. Fu ripetuta da Giolito de Ferrari.". Very elegant imprint from Florence of the Greek historian Diodorus of Sicily who wrote between 60 and 30 BC. - Nice copy with minor browning and little dust, binding rubbed. It has obviously a British provenance, first endpaper with an inscription from 1870 and much older annotations of another hand marking the pages that talk about Britain and beer as well as other drinks and adding "a very learned preface of the great benefit of history worth perusing". [Attributes: First Edition]
