An American Bible
Roycroft Press, East Aurora, NY 1912 - A Full Crushed Leather binding by Frederick Kranz (his intertwining initials on lower right corner of cover). Two raised bands on spine. Although the designs are similar, this is not the standard 'flexible' leather bound edition. The hinges, especially the cover, are partially split at the top and bottom but the cover is solidly attached. Also, there is a faint 2" circle cup stain on the lower right of the cover. These defects, while undesirable, hardly detract from the overall excellent condition of the book. Also, the book is inscribed "To Mrs. Chase with love and gratitude for her beautiful music" and is signed by both Elbert and Alice Hubbard. Photos available upon request. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
