Madras: Published for the benefit of the Military Male Orpahan Asylum, Asylum Press, [1828?].A marvelously evocative piece of colonial Indian printing, and a veritable mine of information on India before the Mutiny in a relatively small volume. Among the items contained in the Calendar are tables of money, weights, and measures; tables of roads, with distances; European and native holidays; Indian governments and presidencies. A handsomely printed book, without a signature, which seems never to have been present. Rebacked, bound without pp. 19-22 (August and September in the calendar).
