83 Hours Till Dawn
Doubleday & Company, Garden City, NY 1971 - 8vo. 404 pp., A very good copy in a good and unclipped dj. DJ is bumped at head and foot with 3/4" v chip at head. The book chronicles the kidnaping ordeal of Barbara Jane Mackle in 1968. A student at Emory University in Atlanta at the time, Mackle was buried in a box in the ground for 83 hours before being rescued. This offering Inlcudes a TLS letter from Gary S Krist dated November 14, 1972 while serving time in prison for the crime. The letter is to Ray Moore who at the time was the News Director of WSV-TV in Atlanta, GA. The seven paragraph letter seems to imply that Moore and Krist had been communicating about an idea Krist had for a Soicial Education Project. An interesting combination of items. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
