First edition in English of one of the classics of English land law, one which Holdsworth paired with Littleton's Tenures and which Coke termed "wittily and learnedly composed", first appearing in Latin in 1528, with many later editions in Law French. ?Contemporary elaborately blind panelled calf, gilt, rebacked, the title frayed (just touching the "e" in "Booke"), quite browned, else a sound copy. Printed by R.B. for M. Wallbanke . . . within Grayes-Inne-gate, London, 1642.
