History of the House that Jack Built
Grant and Griffith - Not date but circa 1840.(Grant & Griffith took over Harris circa 1835, later changing their name to Griffith and Farran in 1856) 12mo. 14 leaves printed on one side only and backed onto linen. Illustrated with a hand coloured frontis page, vignette wood cut on title page and 14 hand coloured illustrations with verse below. There are some marks, and a light overall browning of the paper. Pages are cropped close to text, with slight loss to some text. Bound in original printed pink/orange wrappers, with a new spine, else a very good copy. Originally published by John Harris, circa 1830. As Grant and Griffiths succeded John Harris publishers, they probasbly would have used the original John Harris wood blocks and type face for this later edition by Grant and Griffith. See Moon 362.
